Two newly identified supramolecular structures arise from self-assembly of the macrocyclic 1,5,9,18,22,26- hexaaza[11.11]-p-cyclophane salts with o-nitrophenol (C28H50N6)4+·4(C6H4NO2O) (1) and with HCl (C28H52N6)6+·6Cl-·4H2O (2). In both cases two-dimensional supramolecular sheets are formed.  相似文献

Total absolute cross sections for electron scattering on hexafluorobenzene, C6F6, and sulfur hexafluoride, SF6, molecules, have been measured as a function of impact energy from 0.6 to 250 eV. The total cross section for C6F6 exhibits a very broad peak stretching from 10 to 100 eV with some weak features near 9.5 and 15 eV superimposed on the peak. Apart from the well-known low-energy resonant structures in the SF6 total cross section function, a new weak resonant feature close to 25 eV has been noticed in the present experiment, in accordance with earlier theoretical calculations.  相似文献

The nucleophilic dimethoxycarbene (DMC; 2 ) generated by thermal decomposition of 2,5‐dihydro‐1,3,4‐oxadiazole derivative 1 in boiling toluene reacts smoothly with N‐(9H‐fluoren‐9‐ylidene)‐4‐methylbenzenesulfonamide ( 7b ) to yield carbonimidoate derivative 10 . A multi‐step reaction pathway, initiated by the attack of DMC onto the C?N bond and followed by the migration of the sulfonyl group (or via a sulfinate anion) is proposed to explain the formation of the final product. In contrast to the formal ketimine 7b , N‐benzylidene‐4‐methylbenzenesulfonamide ( 7a ), a formal aldimine, does not react with DMC under comparable conditions.  相似文献

Alkali lignin undergoes strong adsorption on polycrystalline gold electrodes. Subsequent oxidation in a sulfuric acid solution leads to a restructured redox‐active polymer that shows features characteristic for surface confined species. Surface coverage of up to 4.40×10?10 mol cm?2 may be obtained depending on the adsorption time or lignin concentration in the adsorption solution. Using Laviron's approach the electron‐transfer rate constant and the transfer coefficient were found to be 8.9 s?1 and 0.35, respectively. The formal potential of the redox couple shifted negatively with pH at a rate of ca. 60 mV/pH unit, suggesting a 2 e/2 H+ reaction. The redox couple was also found to be a good mediator for electrochemical ascorbic acid oxidation in neutral phosphate buffer with ca. 250 mV reduction of the oxidation overpotential.  相似文献

The activity of enzyme I (EI), the first protein in the bacterial PEP:sugar phosphotransferase system, is regulated by a monomer–dimer equilibrium where a Mg2+-dependent autophosphorylation by PEP requires the homodimer. Using inactive EI(H189A), in which alanine is substituted for the active-site His189, substrate binding effects can be separated from those of phosphorylation. Whereas 1 mM PEP (with 2 mM Mg2+) strongly promotes dimerization of EI(H189A) at pH 7.5 and 20 °C, 5 mM pyruvate (with 2 mM Mg2+) has the opposite effect. A correlation between the coupling of N- and C-terminal domain unfolding, measured by differential scanning calorimetry, and the dimerization constant for EI, determined by sedimentation equilibrium, is observed. That is, when the coupling between N- and C-terminal domain unfolding produced by 0.2 or 1.0 mM PEP and 2 mM Mg2+ is inhibited by 5 mM pyruvate, the dimerization constant for EI(H189A) decreases from >108 to <5 × 105 or 3 × 107 M−1, respectively. With 2 mM Mg2+ at 15–25 °C and pH 7.5, PEP has been found to bind to one site/monomer of EI(H189A) with KA′106 M−1G′=−33.7±0.2 kJ mol−1 and ΔH=+16.3 kJ mol−1 at 20 °C with ΔCp=−1.4 kJ K−1 mol−1). The binding of PEP to EI(H189A) is synergistic with that of Mg2+. Thus, physiological concentrations of PEP and Mg2+ increase, whereas pyruvate and Mg2+ decrease the amount of dimeric, active, dephospho-enzyme I.  相似文献

Raman optical activity (ROA) spectra recorded for a chiral naphthalene diimide derivative (nBu-NDI–BINAM) dissolved in a series of solvents exhibit strong solute to solvent induced chirality with: (1) dominating bands of solvents, (2) nBu-NDI–BINAM resonance ROA (RROA) bands which are barely visible, (3) monosignate RROA Solvent spectra with an unexpected sign concordant with that of the ECD band of the resonant electronic state, (4) bisignate RROA bands for a few solvents, and (5) superposition of non-resonant and resonant ROA bands of the chiral solvents. The unusual ROA enhancement was explained in terms of resonance energy transfer with resonant Raman emission. The surprising RROA sign-switching was found to be due to specific conformational equilibria where one solute conformer dominates in the ground and the other in the first excited singlet state, and, the signs of the related ECD bands of these two conformers are opposite.

A combination of laser flash photolysis and competitive kinetic methods have been used to measure the absolute bimolecular rate constants for hydrogen atom abstraction in water from a variety of organic substrates including alcohols, ethers, and carboxylic acids by the perfluoroalkyl radical, *CF(2)CF(2)OCF(2)CF(2)SO(3)(-) Na(+). Comparison, where possible, of these rate constants with those previously measured for analogous reactions in the non-polar organic solvent, 1,3-bis(trifluoromethyl)benzene (J. Am. Chem. Soc, 1999, 121, 7335) show that the alcohols react 2-5 times more rapidly in the water solvent and that the ethers react at the same rate in both solvents. A transition state for hydrogen abstraction that is more reminiscent of an "intimate ion pair" than a "solvent separated ion pair" is invoked to explain these modest solvent effects.  相似文献

Polycyclic ‘cage’ ketones, such as pentacyclo[5.4.0.02,6.03,10.05,9]undecan‐8‐one ( 10 ), pentacyclo[5.4.0.02,6.03,10.05,9]undecane‐8,11‐dione ( 11 ), and adamantan‐2‐one ( 16 ) were treated with the nucleophilic dimethoxycarbene (DMC; 1 ), which was generated thermally from 2,5‐dihydro‐2,2‐dimethoxy‐5,5‐dimethyl‐1,3,4‐oxadiazole ( 4a ) in boiling toluene. In this ‘one‐pot’ procedure, the α‐hydroxycarboxylic acid ester 12 or a corresponding derivative 15 or 17 was obtained (Schemes 4–7). Additionally, ‘cage’ thione 21 was treated with DMC under the same conditions yielding dimethoxythiirane 22 (Scheme 8). Subsequent hydrolysis or desulfurization (followed by hydrolysis on silica gel) of 22 gave α‐mercaptocarboxylate 25 and the corresponding desulfurized ester 24 , respectively. In all cases, the addition of DMC occurred stereoselectively, and the addition from the exo‐face is postulated to explain the structures of the isolated products.  相似文献

Deprotonation of 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)-21-H, 23-H-porphyrin (PhF5PorH2) by various bases has been studied by 1H NMR and kinetic methods. The kinetic parameters in acetonitrile were defined for proton transfer reactions yielding [NH]+ protonated bases and [NHN] anions with intramolecular hydrogen-bonded chains.  相似文献
